Leadership Journey
Here are some of the most influential experiences I've had throughout my leadership journey.

01
Honduras Medical Immersion
I had the honor of participating in the Honduras Medical Immersion trip in 2023. We set up multiple medical brigades each day in different villages of rural Honduras and supplied the families with medicine and and water filters. I discovered that love and care is necessary in impoverished areas for the people. Seeing the children running around with joy stood out and is one of the best memories I will always remember about the trip.
02
Carroll Ballers
Carroll Ballers is a program where we go to the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center and play basketball with the residents. Playing basketball with them brings us all together and fosters a sense of teamwork and competition. The basketball court became a space where connections were made and barriers were dismantled due to the love for the game. Beyond playing basketball, the interactions with the residents provided insightful information about their challenges and made us able to talk to them about good behavior and valuable traits when it comes to decision making.

S.W.A.T. Leader
Becoming a S.W.A.T. Leader was a much different experience than I had imagined. While helping new students move in and participating in various activities during John Carroll's Streak Week, I was also a mentor throughout the year with the same students by having weekly meetings over the transition to college. I was positively affected by S.W.A.T. Leaders my first year as they helped me become accustomed to a new journey, so being able to do the same to other students was an opportunity I could not resist.
04
Volunteer at Ahuja Medical Center
Volunteering in a hospital setting is not your average volunteering job, and it was something much more different than I expected. This position allowed me to interact with patients and keep them company, wheel patients after surgery, and bring them food and drinks during waiting times. It has resulted in increased communication skills and has allowed me to build relationships with patients, ultimately making me want to frequently interact with patients as a future medical professional.

05
Volunteer at Greater Cleveland Food Bank
The opportunity to volunteer at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank was an experience that allowed me to give back to the community of Cleveland. This involved boxing up various foods and giving them to families who are in need. The immediate effect our work had on the families facing food shortages was the most remarkable aspect of the experience. Everyone that received food boxes was incredibly grateful and thankful for our efforts and it had a big impact on my decision to come back and do it all over again.
